On July 14th, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit performed at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Upon arrival, groups and families of all ages gathered together around the venue at picnic tables enjoying their dinners while keeping cool in the shade. Unlike the usual seating layout at the Greek, the General Admission pit was removed and replaced by several rows of folding chairs, offering VIP fans a much closer experience.

Jason and his band started off the night with “When We Were Close” from their recent album Weathervanes. Next up was “Save the World,” another song from their newest album. Fans were just as excited to hear the newer songs as they were to hear the classics. Each of the first few songs had killer guitar solos from Jason!

Throughout the evening, the band showcased their incredible musicianship, with each member adding their own flair to the mix. Jason Isbell's songwriting prowess shone brightly, and his heartfelt vocals tugged at the heartstrings of every person in attendance. Whether performing a tender ballad or a rocking anthem, Isbell's emotional delivery had the crowd hanging onto every word.

The chemistry between the band members was evident, and their tight-knit performance added an extra layer of magic to the show. The 400 Unit, composed of talented musicians in their own right, perfectly complemented Isbell's artistry, creating a harmonious and powerful sound that filled the open-air venue.

As the night went on, the setlist delved into both the band's well-known hits and tracks from their latest album, captivating the audience with a perfect balance of nostalgia and fresh material. The connection between the band and the crowd was palpable, with cheers and applause resonating through the night air. The gratitude from Jason Isbell and his band was evident as they expressed their appreciation for the enthusiastic support of their fans. It was clear that this was more than just a performance for them—it was a genuine celebration of the music and the shared experience.
