Released almost six months ago, but still as rocking as ever, Tired Radio have shared their spectacular record, Patterns. Do yourselves a huge favor and read along with us as we break down our thoughts on the album, as well as a background on the artists as well.

Born out of Brooklyn, New York back in 2017 by “self-confessed professional crybaby” Anthony Truzzolino, Tired Radio initially started out as a solo project that quickly blossomed into the tight nit punk band that it is today. However, Tired Radio are everything but your typical punk band. They’re consciously changing things up and paving a new path for the genre.

Coming in at 8 total tracks, spanning 25 outstanding minutes, we couldn’t help but immediately be taken aback after our first full complete listen. As punk lovers ourselves, we typically judge on a higher as to what would be considered “good”. In this case though, our judgements dissipated as we let the music flow through us. Just off of our first impression, they truly are changing up anything that could be considered stale within the genre, so we automatically have to commend them on adding their own signature feel to it all.

With only a couple officially released singles released prior to Patterns, back in 2017, this is one of the most promising sounding records we’ve heard in a while. For the haters out there who like to claim “rock is dead”, you haven’t listened to Tired Radio yet. They’re confidently bringing the love back to music, especially in a form that is bite size enough in terms of run time.

Instead of putting out a bloated album full of whatever demos or spare change they had saved up, there’s a complete and cohesive set of songs on here that pace perfectly from start to finish. You can tell immediately after a first full listen that there’s absolutely zero filler included here. Everything, in our eyes and ears at least, was placed correctly and fully aware of what its place was within the record.

Now you might be thinking to yourselves at this point, why am I even reading anymore, should I just get to the listening portion. Well, the answer is obviously yes, we’d like to just shoutout the band members for their individual performances on Patterns. Comprised of Anthony Truzzolino (vocals), Kevin Daly (drums), Jason St. Angelo (bass), Chris Schmidt (lead guitar), and the help of Matt Weber on the engineering side of things, they’ve really come together to put out something special here.

Needless to say, we’re loving it, and think you will too! For all things Tired Radio, to listen, and to keep up with all future releases and information, please check out the following links below.
