Shared with the world on April 23rd, 2021, Thrillhouse have made their return with a larger than life single, titled “Just At The Right Time”. Read along with us as we break down our thoughts on the single, as well as a background on the band as well.

Based out of Brighton, Thrillhouse are an alternative indie rock band “living in the past”. Having claimed to be born in the wrong direction, their music speaks for itself and hinges on the vintage sparks of the 80’s, yet continuing to blend glimmers of a modern day sound as well. “Just At The Right Time” was our intro to the band, but they’ve created fans for life here.

Recorded entirely at home, but mixed at The Silk Mill, Thrillhouse’s return is just the type of music we needed as we come into summer in our part of the world. On the origins of the track, singer Sam Strawberry let us know, “I wanted to say thanks to someone who’s done a lot for me. I’m no good with words in real life so I just wrote a song about them… I should probably send it to them at some point”. Whoever is on the receiving end of this song should be grateful, because this one rocks.

Now as it appears, this is Thrillhouse’s third released single of 2021, so they’ve very clearly been busy cranking out music for the masses. As mentioned, this was our introduction to the band, but as they’ve continued to grow their stellar discography, we’ve definitely assigned ourselves some musical homework in order to get more familiar with their sound that we’ve quickly fallen in love with.

“Just At The Right Time”, for lack of a better statement, came at just the right time for us, because this is a nostalgic and vintage sound that we’ve been longing for quite some time. Leaning towards a layered production and including so many lovely synth-based instruments was the obvious right call, but their expert usage and placement just goes to show that Thrillhouse are the real deal.

Do yourselves a massive favor and get into this single, and this band, as soon as you possibly can, because they’re putting music together that’s sure to bring joy to your day.
