Here at We Write About Music, our goal and passion is to bring the honest truth and most recent news surrounding what’s new in music, who’s worth seeing, and what you should be listening to.

The real reason any normal person starts a music blog or starts reporting on anything really, is out of pure interest for the subject. All day long on your news feeds you see the same regurgitation of pointless news that doesn’t pertain to your interests. What we’d like to do specifically, is make it so that you’re not flipping through the same articles from source to source. The ultimate plan is to bring news that we’re interested in and that hopefully you will be too.

This page was created to shine a light on the independent artist, music venues, and record stores who are out there struggling. Leave it to the big boys of music publication to cover the hottest things in pop music or entertainment culture, that’s not what we’re about. We write about things that are in our personal interests and sincerely hope that you share those interests. Ultimately we’d like for this site to be a one stop page for independent music news, concert reviews, album reviews, showing off vinyl collections, and so much more that’s left to be discovered.

Specifically though, if you’re an independent artist who happens to be on this page and you’ve got a piece of work coming out that you’re proud of, please don’t hesitate to contact us in any way, we’ll make it a point to feature you, because who else will?
