K.Flay Rocks the Lodge Room for 2 Nights in LA

Multi-platinum and multi-Grammy nominee Kristine Flaherty, aka K.Flay, kicked off her 2024 North American Headline Tour, MONO: Live In Stereo with a two-night sold out stop at The Lodge Room in Los Angeles, CA. In celebration of the release of her fifth full-length album, LA based singer and Illinois native explores a diverse variety of compelling narratives in this project, ranging from toxic relationships (with both people and substances), to even her own hearing loss (K. Flay lost hearing in her right ear during the making of this album).

The ability to transform such heavy subject matter into a danceable project is concrete proof as to why she has been non-stop selling out venues around the globe since her 2017 debut, Every Where Is Some Where.

A K. Flay show doubles as both an immersive experience, and a cathartic release. The singer’s setlist pairs perfectly with a powerful, all-encompassing stage presence that is impossible to look away from. Hitting the stage decked out in a head-to-toe boxing costume, K. Flay opted for an announcer-like voice introducing her return to the city, rather than a traditional walk-on track, ensuring fans that they were in for an evening of raw power.

Between the interlude of choreographed fighting between the singer and her band, as well as the fully saturated, deep-toned lighting setup, K. Flay transformed the venue into a cinematic soundscape for the evening, keeping audience members in the palm of her boxing glove from beginning to end.
