Outside Lands is officially gearing up for another landmark summer, returning to Golden Gate Park from August 7–9 for its 18th year as one of the most ambitious and experience-driven festivals on the planet. Still proudly holding its title as the largest independently owned festival in the United States, Outside Lands has built its reputation on a simple but powerful idea: music is only the beginning. Food, wine, beer, cocktails, art, and cannabis culture all weave into the fabric of the weekend, turning the park into a fully immersive playground that feels uniquely San Francisco.
True to form, this year’s lineup reflects Outside Lands’ gift for balancing tastemakers, global superstars, and genre-defying left turns. The bill stretches across indie, hip-hop, electronic, rock, pop, and everything in between, with names like The xx, Baby Keem, Turnstile, Labrinth, Empire of the Sun, and Death Cab For Cutie anchoring a lineup that feels both massive and thoughtfully curated. The depth is just as exciting, spotlighting forward-thinking artists like Wet Leg, Ethel Cain, Lucy Dacus, and hometown heroes The Story So Far, reinforcing the festival’s knack for capturing cultural momentum in real time.
Electronic fans once again have a home base in SOMA, Outside Lands’ open-air house and techno sanctuary. The SOMA lineup reads like a global club passport, with artists such as Boys Noize, Lane 8, Boris Brejcha, Ben Böhmer, and KI/KI transforming the park into a euphoric, late-day dance floor. SOMA continues to be one of the festival’s defining features, offering a club experience without sacrificing the magic of an outdoor setting.
Ticketing details are just as important as the lineup, and Outside Lands is once again rolling out multiple presale options ahead of the General On Sale on Thursday, March 5. Loyalty Presale access opens today, March 3 at 12pm PT for fans who’ve purchased tickets or registered wristbands between 2021 and 2025, with signup required by 11am PT to receive a code. Ranger Presale access follows the same signup process, while Chase cardholders can jump in immediately through the exclusive Chase Presale, running through March 5 without any signup required.
