PUP & Jeff Rosenstock Blow the Roof Off of LA's Hollywood Palladium

Jeff Rosenstock and PUP came to the Hollywood Palladium last night to celebrate friendship, punk, and having a damn good time together.

This stop on their tour caps off an exhausting and productive year for PUP. They’ve been touring non-stop since the release of their great new LP Who Will Look After the Dogs?. Believe it or not, this is the 46th stop of their tour since May, with dates spanning both Europe and the US. They picked up Rosenstock for this joint bill starting in September and have been playing together almost every night since.

It's a very logical matchup of artists and fanbases. Both bands offer heart-on-your-sleeve punk that is met with raucous, sing along choruses, and sticky guitar licks.  If you were only there for Jeff, you might as well be there for PUP, and vice versa.

Rosenstock opened the night with songs spanning his now pretty robust portfolio of albums. NO DREAM and WE COOL had the most appearances, but if you were a fan of Jeff during almost any part of his career, you’d be content. PUP, on the other hand, had a new album to promote so most of their tracks came from the new record.

After ending on one of the few slower, sweeter moments of the evening with “Shut Up”, PUP invited Jeff and his band on stage for joint performance of a few of their tracks. With about 10-15 people on stage, the guys ripped through Rosenstock and PUP favorites like “Hey Allison!”, “Get Dumber”, “We Begged 2 Explode”, and “Reservoir”. It was like watching a bunch of friends get together and jam. The show ended with a cover of “You Outta Know” by Alanis Morissette, acting as an olive branch to the audience inviting them to the party.

The party continues with a couple more shows in October before wrapping up in Denver on 10/11/25.
