Desert Daze Partners With Partisan Records To Create New Label, Desert Daze Sound
Major music industry news! Our favorite festival on Planet Earth, Desert Daze, has just branched out a little bit more in a brand new partnership with Partisan Records. It’s an all new music label called DESERT DAZE SOUND and will be the home for a diverse collection of musicians from all over the world representing a wide variety of sonic ideas.
As their debut release, Desert Daze Sound is excited to release the first new album in almost 40 years from Zamrock legends and Desert Daze veterans WITCH. The album, called Zango, is set to be released on June 2nd and is full of international and intergenerational collaborations that chart musical histories from Zambia and beyond.
The label has already released WITCH’s new single and video, “Avalanche of Love,” featuring Sampa the Great. The track is a groovy, upbeat number that showcases the band's signature style of psychedelic rock infused with African rhythms. The collaboration with Sampa the Great adds an exciting modern twist to the sound that makes it feel fresh and current.
But Desert Daze Sound has more in store for music lovers. In addition to studio albums, the label is set to launch their “LIVE @ Desert Daze!” vinyl compilation series featuring many of the celebrated sets from the festival.
