P!nk Captivates the Crowd at Headlining Austin City Limits Performance

Last weekend at Austin City Limits, our middle school dreams came true as P!nk took the stage to headline the second weekend of the event. Ripping through her most classic songs as well as playing a wide variety of the newer hits, it was a certifiable dance party through and through. Please read on for our full review of her set below.

From beginning to end, the absolute energy that was radiating through Zilker Park was palpable as the crowd ate up every single moment of her now legendary set. Kicking things off with the early 2000’s classic “Get The Party Started”, it transferred us back to an easier time in our lives where this song consistently reverberated on the radio. Honestly, it makes you think just how long winded P!nk’s career has been and how much success she’s seen overall. As the setlist went on, she played more of our favorites such as “Just Give Me A Reason” featuring Nate Ruess (making an appearance on screen), “Raise Your Glass”, and “Try”.

Easily the most surprising part of her performance was the sheer amount of covers that she played, that while we were apprehensive about at first, ultimately ended up being our favorite moments. She treated the sea of people to “Bohemian Rhapsody”, Bishop Briggs’ “River”, Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love”, and more. Her voice is as elegant as we ever remember it being, but of course because of TikTok and other social media spoilers, we knew what the real main event would be towards the end of the set. We strapped in for a wild evening as it would happen and it seriously turned into one long singalong as the crowd belted out hit after hit.

Although she only played once encore to the crowd, there’s no better song she could have chosen as the beginning notes of “So What” started. The aerial show began as P!nk flew over the crowd as thousands whipped their phones out to capture the moment. It was a perfect capstone to Saturday night’s festivities and we’re thrilled that we were able to witness it live in person.
