The Dare Invites Osheaga 2025 to the Dance Floor
Tucked into the Valley stage on a sunny afternoon at Osheaga, The Dare delivered a confident, high-energy set that turned casual listeners into full-on fans. The crowd that gathered for the performance didn’t just stumble in, they came ready to dance, and The Dare made sure to reward them.
Wearing a black-and-white suit, slim tie, and dark sunglasses, The Dare fully leaned into the persona he's built. There was no small talk, no banter between tracks. Just movement. His energy was constant and raw. Kicking his legs in the air, pacing the stage, hollering into the mic like he was willing the crowd into motion. The vibe was loose, chaotic, and undeniably fun.
Visually, the stage was clean but striking. A large metal frame mounted with lights in a square grid glowed behind his setup, creating a sharp and stylish backdrop. It gave structure to a set that felt like a burst of controlled madness. There were no live instruments or elaborate visuals—just vocals, backing tracks, and charisma.
The crowd was clearly dialed in. “You’re Invited” and “Perfume” got people jumping, but “Girls” was the obvious peak. The shout-along was loud, joyful, and a little unhinged, in the best way. That's what's up!!
This was my first time seeing him live and to be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I ended up dancing with new friends and left thinking he could easily be on a bigger stage next time around. The production value, the pacing, the personality, it all pointed toward an artist who’s just getting started. If the energy of this set is any indication, The Dare is going places.
