Andreww changes it up on dynamic new single, "Surprise"
With an all new single and accompanying music video for “Surprise”, Andreww has branched his sound out and shown the world exactly what he’s capable of creating! Please read on for our positive review of the track, as well as a background on this artist.
Always striving to be the pinnacle of creativity, Andreww’s newest song “Surprise” has shown he has no bounds when it comes to keeping his music sustained within a genre. Bordering somewhere under the umbrella of indie rock, he’s managed to create new dynamic sounds that showcase his talents in a new light. If this is your intro to the musician, you’re in luck, because this song is nothing but greatness.
Compared to his past works, this is a slight departure in what we expected, however that just quickly proves that artists need to keep evolving and experimenting to keep it fresh for themselves. While we’re sure he’ll be attracting new listeners with this song, it still has that signature Andreww feel to it to let you know he hasn’t gone anywhere in the slightest. While of course he keeps a focus on the songwriting and tells his complex stories, the centerpiece of his music continues to be the atmospheric tones and sonic versatility that we’ve endured in his past works.
Of course we’re going to recommend you check out this song and everything else he’s made, but let us also mention that the music video created perfectly encapsulates the raw emotion of it all. We’ve linked it below for you to watch and we think it’s important to do so to really try to get in the head of this artist who’s consistently making thought provoking music for the masses.
We do also want to make it clear that we’re really loving the direction he’s taken here, it’s not quite refrained, but it really does show off a softer side. If anything, it highlighted Andreww’s vocals and put the point across that he can command a song without being too in your face about it.
