CAT DAD soothes the soul with his dreamy single, "Here To Stay"
Staying as consistent as ever with yet another dreamy release in 2021, CAT DAD is back with another lovely new single titled “Here To Stay”. Please read on for our glowing review of the track, in addition to a much needed background on this artist.
Born and raised in California and making music since the young age of 13, CAT DAD has surpassed all of our expectations on his newest song, “Here To Stay”. Featuring a top tier production and ultimately laid back vibes, for those who are about to introduce themselves to his music, we can confidently state that this is going to be the one to suck you in for life. Without a doubt, we’re highly recommending you give it a listen.
The actual project of CAT DAD has been going strong since 2019, but since then there’s been a flurry of releases that are getting significantly better as time goes on. Compared to his last single “(reset)”, which actually just got the music video treatment, there’s massive strides happening in nearly every facet of the way that this artist is producing and structuring his songs. When diving into “Here To Stay” for the first time, instantly a wave of calm washed over us as the lush instrumentation and atmospheric waves kicked in. That was only amplified more when the artist’s vocals came into the mix too. The combination of it all made for a listen that comfortably lowered our heart rate yet piqued our interests as the complexities of the song went on.
At just a tad under three minutes in run time, “Here To Stay” doesn’t feature any needless filler or rely on cheap gimmicks to capture the listener’s attention. There’s a real authenticity about it, especially in the songwriting, that makes it quite easy to vibe within the first 30 seconds or so. You’ll see for yourselves as you give it a spin, but truthfully an EP or even album of these tracks would be divine. This is the type of music that we consume in our personal time, so we know for a fact we’ll be coming back to it frequently.
