Clayton Mann shines on vocals focused single, "Good as Gospel"

Adding another piece of beauty onto his growing discography, Clayton Mann has effortlessly penned another hit in “Good as Gospel”. Please read on for our full length review of the track, in addition to a background on the artist.

For this Nashville-based country artist, you can always expect a hybrid of heartfelt lyricism and a passionate vocal performance to make you feel all the emotions. On Clayton Mann’s newest single “Good as Gospel”, he slowed it down a bit and centered the song around his dynamic range that showcases his endless capabilities as a singer and his songwriting skills to really create something imagery-filled. Needless to say, we really enjoyed this one and think that he’s a country artist to keep an eye on in the future.

Immersing himself within his local music scene and playing as many shows as possible, if you’re located in the greater Nashville area, there’s a chance you’ve already witnessed the greatness. However, with each single seemingly being more impressive than the past, it won’t be long until he’s making his rounds around the rest of the US. It’s not often we listen to a single song from an artist and make these claims, but you can feel that positive spark on “Good as Gospel” that a lot of other like-minded musicians seem to be lacking. For us, it checked all of our boxes for what a classic yet forward thinking song should have.

While we haven’t yet had the opportunity to see him in action, the rumor is that his live shows are high energy and quite upbeat. Considering this was our introduction to the artist via this new song, we’ll certainly have to do a bit of a deep dive to catch ourselves up. We’re aware of the rock and roll influence in the rest of this music, which will definitely further our claim that Clayton’s vocals can be shape-shifted into basically whatever he wants. For the uninitiated though, an urge from us would be to start with “Good as Gospel” and work your way backwards.

For now, we recommend everyone do just that! We’ve included all the important links below in order to listen, follow along, and of course to stay tune for what’s definitely going to be Clayton Mann’s biggest year yet.
