Having just shared his second single, “Undelivered (Make Me OP!)”, it was only right that we brought back on Clint Lightfoot for another extraordinary conversation. Please check out our full interview below.

For those potentially out of the loop, Clint Lightfoot is an experimental artist who’s always working to serve up something different, thought provoking, and complex. His second release “Undelivered (Make Me OP!)” fits that mold perfectly as once again he’s created something that makes you stop in your tracks and attempt to connect the dots with all that’s being displayed in front of you. During our conversation, we spoke on parts of his creation process, got a look towards what else will be shared in 2023, and really picked his brain surrounding his musicianship.

You may remember our conversation with Clint about 6 months ago where we discussed his debut single “Crickets”. We can tell you right from the beginning that this song is nothing like that, in fact it feels like that was the ultimate goal. Coming in at just a little under 6 minutes in runtime, listeners will experience a plethora of sounds, styles, and genres that come together to create something that ends up being cohesive, but really gets the gears turning in your head. A focal point of our conversation was attempting to nail down what genre you could call this, but really we feel as though it’s up to the listener to make that decision based on what you hear. Whether it takes 1, 2, or 10 listens, we can confidently claim you’ll experience something new every time.

One of the more fascinating points of discussion was Clint’s inspiration for this song, which actually stems from the video games that his son plays. You might know Roblox or Minecraft and “OP” stands for Overpowered. It embodies the feeling of his music and is certainly an ode to his love for his son which we love so much too!

With so much more music on the way and in the works, Clint Lightfoot’s biggest project yet is on the horizon. It’s a song called “Code (No Matter What)” and it’s been in the works for 7 months at this point.
