Daisy Tyler hits a home run with her debut single, "Liability"

Released on July 24th, 2020, Daisy Tyler has shared her impeccable debut song, titled “Liability”. Read along with us as we break down what we thought of the track, as well as provide a bit of background on the artist herself.
Born in Oakland, California, but raised in Los Angeles, California, Daisy Tyler has always had music in her soul. Growing up with a musical background, Daisy has always had a love for songwriting and was determined to make a career out of. This past week she released her first single "Liability", on the 24th of July. "Liability", is about her journey of self discovery through self-doubt. Her first EP "Rebirth" comes out this Fall. Our first impressions and thoughts on “Liability” as we gave it a listen were we really hope the EP is set to follow in Early Fall, because what she’s created here is absolute gold.
One of the first things you’ll notice about the single is the obvious high quality production. Listening on a nice pair of headphones or even in the car, the bass is booming, the vocals are flawless, and the overwhelming urge to sing along washes over you immediately.
The song is a very obvious introspection into the life of Daisy Tyler. The lyrics cover her self discovery through her own self doubt. What we got from that is that we’re the only ones who are really holding ourselves back from achieving our goals and dreams. Any anxieties you may have, any haters you come across, you’ve just got to move them out the way and get to those goals. We can only imagine how difficult it is to sit down, write a song, and then actually record and release it. Seeing as this is Daisy Tyler’s debut release, we’re so unbelievably proud that she’s looked past herself as the “Liability” and allowed her own star to shine.
The beat on the track is addictive, Tyler’s vocal range is highly dynamic and shows off what notes she can hit, and overall the song is a homerun. We gave it multiple listens and added it to nearly every one of our summer playlists, because it’s deserving of that spot and praise. While this is only the beginning of Daisy Tyler’s career, we’re keen to see where and when she’s going to blow up. We hope it’s with the release of her EP in the Fall. For now though, stay tuned for more!
