So we’d like to kick off this review by letting you know, this isn’t going to be our average review, nor are we going to be proving listening links at the bottom either. In fact, it’s going to take a little bit of work on the reader's part for if you’re interested in checking things out from Dreu. Let us break it down for you, the artist has let us know to direct you to his Instagram account (link provided below) if you’re interested in listening. To be honest, even we had to go through the process to get the link to the album, which we loved. It changes things up and only brings users to the music if they’re truly interested.

With that being said, let us tell you a bit about The Mixtape. At a total of 9 tracks, Dreu opens up his life story through his quirky and ingenious lyricism all across the record. Packed with original beats, masterful production, and some lines that had us getting into it a little too much, we truly enjoyed what we heard on this album.

Even going through the process of reaching out to Dreu, after our first listen that is, it was extremely worth it to take a little bit of time out of our day to support the artist in a unique way. Every artist these days has their own way of going about things, but ultimately their music is always available through a majority of the main streaming services. As fantastic as The Mixtape was, the actual process of getting there let you in on the thought process of Dreu. He doesn’t want to be like everyone else, he wants to be different, and if that means going about listening in alternative ways, then we 100% fully support it.

Anyone can listen to music passively, but when you actively go out of your way to support and connect with the person you’re listening to, that’s when real relationships form. So let us be the ones to tell you, The Mixtape is fantastic enough for you take the time and visit his Instagram. We could go on and on and go track to track, but we want things to have a little bit of a surprise to them.

Wrapping things up though, the only link we’re providing at the bottom is for Dreu’s Instagram. Check it out, reach out, connect, and make the extra step, we can guarantee it’ll be worth your time.
