Eric Erdman previews his new LP with a rich single, "Enough"
Previewing a lead single titled “Enough” off of his upcoming full-length album, Eric Erdman is setting up to have something wonderful on his hands. Read on for our full review of the track, as well as a background on this artist.
Crafting together an Americana sound with his own personal subtleties, Eric Erdman’s “Enough” is a lyrical wonderful jam packed with a ton of heart behind it. The first thing you’ll most likely notice are just how insanely powerful his vocals are, but they’re really only a small part of the equation when you take the whole song into consideration. Regardless, “Enough” needs to be a priority in your listening queue as soon as you get a moment.
Recorded at 1979 Studio in Nashville, Tennessee and produced by Justin Weaver (The Chicks, Jason Aldean), you can really feel the warmth within the sound immediately. A recommendation on our part would be to give this a close and focused listen with a nice pair of headphones, otherwise you might be missing out on a paramount listening experience. The song features such an intimacy, not only in the lyricism, but the way that Eric sings like he’s speaking right towards you. The production shines bright and only adds to the allure that the song holds anyway.
Instrumentally speaking, the song is almost stripped back in a way, but we feel that was most likely a stylistic choice by nature. Any additional gimmicky effects would otherwise take away the special feeling that “Enough” is bursting with. Considering that this is the lead single off the upcoming album, it’s quite obvious to say that we’re beyond excited for what’s to come. Our genuine feeling is that Eric is saving the best for last, but while we patiently wait for more, we’ll surely be spinning this one over and over for maximum effect.
