Foxbridge hit euphoric highs on their EP, "Uncrossing The Stars"

With Uncrossing The Stars, the UK indie Americana Folk duo Foxbridge have crafted an EP that is absolutely intimate and expansive. It delivers a heartfelt meditation on life’s messier moments delivered with a euphoric lift. Officially released on October 3rd the five-song collection distills everything that makes Foxbridge such a captivating new force with those lush harmonies, thoughtful arrangements, and an emotional honesty that hits big.

Formed in 2022, Foxbridge is the collaboration of Emily Ellicott and Justin Capps, two voices that found their footing together long before under different projects. That history of collaboration shows here. Their chemistry is fully the foundation of the EP’s strongest moments. The way their voices entwine feels natural, lived-in, and completely transportive, making every lyric feel like a shared truth between artist and listener. There’s no doubt you’ll find that rawness and intimacy in the mix, like you’re in the room where it was recorded.

Musically, Uncrossing The Stars strikes a balance between stripped-down authenticity and immersive production. The acoustic textures create warmth and intimacy, while the subtle bass lines and lovely drum patterns keep the songs grounded and alive. There’s a distinctly modern edge to their folk-inspired Americana, with plugged-in flourishes that never overwhelm but instead amplify the duo’s gift for storytelling. The result is a sound that’s actually quite atmospheric due to some super cool production tricks too.

At its heart, the EP is about raw human nature and the decisions we make, the emotions that overwhelm us, and the fragile beauty of carrying on. But while the themes tread into vulnerable territory, the overall mood of the record is euphoric. Emily’s vocals are a highlight throughout, brimming with life and texture, alternately soaring and whispering with equal conviction. Justin provides a grounding counterpart, his voice and instrumentation adding a sturdy framework for Emily’s flights of feeling. When they sing together though, that’s when the magic really shines through, especially on our personal favorite “Sirens Used To Sing”.

Clocking in at just five songs though, Uncrossing The Stars is a succinct piece of art, but one that feels full-bodied and complete. There’s no excess here, just carefully considered melodies and harmonies that feel inevitable once you hear them.

At the end of it all, it isn’t just a record to hear; it’s one to feel, and a reminder of music’s ability to illuminate even the most complicated corners of our lives with hope and beauty. They’ve really crushed it in terms of determining a vision and following through. We urge everyone out there to take a moment and give it a spin as soon as you can by clicking those links below.
