Gabriella Zauna analyzes her intimate single, "damn I love the rain" - Interview

We’d be lying if we said we weren’t overly thrilled about the interview we just did with Gabriella Zauna. With the fresh release of her newest single “damn I love the rain”, this girl is 100% going places. Please enlighten yourself by watching our full interview below.

For those not in the know just yet, Gabriella Zauna is a singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, who’s just put out an incredibly intimate new single titled “damn I love the rain”. In our newest interview with the artist, she delicately broke down how it all came about, her processes as a musician, and so much more. At only 16 years old, her talent is immense, we highly recommend her music.

Following up her recent single “COPY B”, which garnered over 50,000 Spotify streams and counting, Gabriella has been writing music for as long as she can remember and started producing at age 12, in which she continues to do so in her home studio. Even cooler, and something we touched on in the interview, was that she’s got synesthesia. If you don’t know, it means her senses are intertwined and she associates each of her songs with its own color, number, texture and shape. She uses her synesthesia to bring her music to life, stay honest with herself, and tell her stories. This is shown through the color blue being an extremely integral part of her artistry and branding. Have you seen her hair? It’s amazing.

Now we don’t want to spoil too much of our talk, because really it was one of our favorites we’ve done so far, but Gabriella proved herself to be an overly complex, deep, and emotional human being. Just speaking with her for 30 minutes showed us that, and to be honest, the conversation probably would have lasted for hours and hours.

On the single “damn I love the rain” though, the production is at an all time high and the intimacy that is felt through just one listen is palpable. It’s a song and an artist that we can’t help but want to listen to when we’re feeling emotional, but at the same time there’s tons of uplifting factors about her music as well. It just goes to show her well roundedness as a musician, person, and creator.

You’d seriously be missing out if you didn’t listen to her music, which is the main priority here. You should definitely watch our interview to get into the mind of Gabriella, but if that’s too much, at least check out the links below where you can listen and follow along with her future releases. We know we will! Enjoy!
