Crafting alternative pop tracks that always strive to break the mold of modern style, Gabrielle Ornate’s latest musical endeavor “Spirit of the Times” is a bold one that has definitely over-delivered. Like everything else she’s put out over the past year, this artist stays consistent in putting every fiber of her being into anything that’s got her name attached. Plain and simple, we adore this song and we know you will too.

Described as a “celestial anthem that shines like a ray of light, uplifting you to forget your worries and get up and dance”, that’s the exact sentiment we left our listening feeling on. Shifting the instrumentation from past tracks to more of an edgier and almost industrial-like heaviness, Gabrielle perfectly counterbalances the aggression with her dream-like vocals that deliver a softness to it all. You instantly get hooked on the production, twists, and turns, but it’s her voice that serves as the constant for coming back for more.

Commanding is certainly a way to describe this song as a whole, but listening to the lyrics, it feels like a reflection of the state of the world. It’s easy to get distracted by the glitz and glam of it all, but when you really stop and focus, you’ll make the connections on what it’s really all about. Gabrielle once again holds nothing back in creating these statement tracks that don’t just require one listen to get the message. One of our favorite parts about her growing discography is that each song is its own little atmospheric world that you get sucked into the moment you click play. “Spirit of the Times” is no different and fits ideally into the solid list of songs she’s got so far.
