Gianluca Todisco invites you into a sonic rebirth with EP, "The Inner Circle"
With his debut EP after years of single releases, Gianluca Todisco wastes no time in establishing himself as a bold new voice in the world of electronic pop. The Italian-born, Los Angeles–based artist has crafted a high-intensity experience that clocks in at just 14 minutes but leaves a long-lasting mark, moving like a spiritual thriller through resilience, discovery, and love.
The project is rooted in the idea of sound as both reflection and transformation, and you can hear it in every detail. Field recordings slip seamlessly into pulsing beats, acoustic instruments brush against electronic textures, and the rhythms themselves feel like they’re charting a journey of their own. There’s a cinematic edge to the whole thing, conjuring visions of late-night city drives, desert horizons, and, fittingly, the stars above Griffith Observatory where much of the work was conceived.
Todisco’s vocals are the centerpiece, carrying a rugged intensity that cuts through the glossy production. His delivery is straightforward and raw, yet never heavy-handed, instead it feels like a guiding presence, pulling you through each shift in mood. One moment, the tracks are danceable and hook-heavy, engineered for movement and release; the next, they reel back into something contemplative, asking you to sit with your emotions rather than escape them.
What makes this record remarkable is the fusion of global influences at play. You can feel Rome in its romanticism, Los Angeles in its experimental bravado, and flashes of the wider world in the percussion and melodic phrasing. It’s not just electronic pop, it’s a tapestry of lived experiences woven into rhythm and sound.
At just five tracks, it’s over too quickly, but that brevity feels intentional, like a glimpse into the opening chapter of a much bigger story. Gianluca Todisco has delivered something that’s catchy, danceable, and deeply meaningful all at once. If this is the inner circle he’s inviting us into, it’s one worth staying in.
One of our main takeaways from this record is that it all manages to flow so effortlessly from start to finish. He’s managed to create the true “album experience” which is so vastly different from the traditional single release structure. That being said, it’s an EP that deserves a front to back listen to really take it all in. Go ahead and click those links below to listen in, follow along, and of course to stay tuned for more!
