For those out of the loop on Jaenna Cali, she’s a Filipino-Canadian singer, songwriter, actress, and producer. Quickly, she’s proved that she’s capable of huge things, and on her debut single “Simply You”, those suspicions have been confirmed. At just 24 years old, Jaenna’s goals are to promote self-care, love, creativity, and to continue on her personal plan of growing. Through her lush indie pop she’s created, there’s truly a massive gust of fresh air that’s hit us with the release of this single. A genuine optimism comes through clearly, but the all encompassing message to simply be yourself is what we loved the most. Once you watch our interview in full, you’ll know exactly where the inspiration came to create this beauty.

Inspired by the likes of Taylor Swift, Hailee Steinfeld, Tori Kelly, and so many more, Jaenna has certainly imparted a heap of originality of her own. While the song itself is surely lyrical forward, don’t think that the production on it took a backseat.
