Joey Green’s Verde Vacay continues to redefine the destination Music Festival
There are wayyy too many festivals that promise unforgettable weekends, but very few can honestly claim to feel like a vacation first and a music event second. That's exactly what Joey Green's Verde Vacay has spent the past five years perfecting. Returning to Cancun, Mexico from July 12th through 16th, 2026, the annual gathering has evolved into one of the most unique experiences on the live music calendar, offering fans the chance to slow down, genuinely connect with artists, and enjoy incredible songwriting in one of the most breathtaking settings imaginable!
At first glance, the concept sounds almost too good to be true. Spend several days surrounded by turquoise water, white sand beaches, and tropical sunsets while some of the best names in Texas music perform just steps away. Yet Verde Vacay has built its reputation on delivering exactly that. Joey Green has intentionally created something far more personal, where the emphasis isn't on rushing between performances but on fully experiencing every moment.
Throughout the festival, guests aren't simply watching artists from behind barricades. They become part of a community built around storytelling, conversation, and shared musical appreciation. Fully produced performances are balanced with opportunities for meaningful interactions that rarely happen at larger festivals, allowing fans to connect with the musicians in an authentic, relaxed environment.
Much of that success stems from Joey Green himself. The Texas-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter has spent years building a respected career through his distinctive blend of rock, soul, country, and what he fittingly calls "post-Americana." From appearances on The Voice to multiple albums and chart success in Texas, Green has always demonstrated a deep appreciation for songwriting and collaboration.
…and obviously, this year’s weekend is absolutely stacked with talent. Attendees are lucky enough to see Joey himself, Payton Howie, Elvie Shane, Aaron McBee, Brayden Stewart, Ralyn Gale, and Tyler Bond.
As the event celebrates its fifth anniversary, Verde Vacay has grown into far more than an annual getaway. It's become a destination where friendships are formed, artists and audiences connect, and really just gives you the opportunity to kick back and relax. In an era where many festivals seem focused on getting bigger each year, Joey Green has proven there's just as much value in creating something more intimate.
