Teasing another stellar single titled “Right Here” off of his upcoming debut EP, Josh Lumsden has truly outdone himself on this musical endeavor. Keep reading for a closer look into the track, as well as a background on this artist.

Currently representing the New York City music scene, Josh Lumsden is an independent DIY pop artist that’s continually pushing greater heights within his expanding catalog. On the artist’s newest single “Right Here”, immediately you’re sucked into a time warp that embodies everything right within the pop genre, however he’s finished it off with a dynamic industrial house production. We haven’t been able to turn it off and confidently think you’ll feel the same, so please give it a spin when you get a moment.

On the background of it all, Josh has summed up “Right Here” by saying it’s “inspired by the feeling of being the last person left at a Brooklyn warehouse rave just before the lights turn on”. While that’s certainly a specific situation to be in, it’s one that ultimately makes sense after the initial listen. There’s an intense euphoria and a downright cosmic urge to move, dance, and groove along the moment this track’s opening notes hit. Although there’s plenty of meaningful lyricism to be uncovered when you connect the dots, for us, this song was all about the vibe and sheer emotion emanating off of it. With seemingly infinite highs, transporting you to actually feeling like you’re in a club, this is the exact type of music we’d want playing to start or end our night.

As a 100% self-produced artist, becoming a lot more known for his constant genre blending, it’s experimental and out of the box compositions like this that will keep us coming back. We took the opportunity to explore the rest of his music and you’re legitimately never getting the same thing twice, a serious feat for an artist at any level. Though “Right Here” clocks in at a solid four and a half minutes, it’s something that you don’t want to end, and a single that’s begging to be remixed into something much longer. If this happens to be your introduction to the music of Josh Lumsden, we can think of no better jumping off point than here.
