Jade Starling shares album of remixes for vibrant single, "So Alive"

Released earlier this year, but still hitting just as hard, we’re loving everything about Jade Starling’s single, “So Alive”. Please keep reading for an in-depth look at the track, as well as a background on this talented artist.

For those somehow out of the loop, Jade Starling is a prolific singer, songwriter, and lead vocalist for the 1980’s band Pretty Poison. In this scenario under her solo moniker, she’s shared an empowering and downright freeing single called “So Alive”. Accompanied by a staggering amount of remixes, somewhere around 14 at this point, she’s gone above and beyond in bringing out the best surrounding this song. We truly cannot wait for everyone out there to give this a spin as soon as possible.

Originally written in 2018 with a slated release date of sometime in 2020, it unfortunately fell victim to the pandemic. In our opinion though, given the message and resurgence of life we’re all feeling, this song feels more suited to a present day release as opposed to the past. Right from the opening notes, it’s got this resounding positivity and vibrance about it that makes you want to drop what you’re doing and get dancing. According to Jade, “So Alive” is at once infectious, compelling, and joyful. A brilliant visualization of what it feels like to fall head over heels in love with someone or something”. After listening to a majority of these remixes, we can’t help but overtly agree with that statement, the addiction of “So Alive” is real.

While we’ve had the chance to enjoy the original, some of these remixes are outrageous in their prowess to somehow recreate the greatness. Featuring collaborations from Stonebridge, Chris Cox, Mr Mind, Sam Gee, and so many more, each artists’ take is more complex than the previous. However the one thing that stays consistent is the anthemic aspect to these songs. No matter certain production effects or subtleties within the mix that are getting changed, Jade still stays as the focal point, belting out the pent up energy of the last two years. At this point, let us please direct you to all the important links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with all major releases. Enjoy!
