With a third full length LP on the way later this year, Marc Ambrosia has set the stage for something incredibly special with a new single titled “When I’m Craving Love”. Read on for a closer look into the track, as well as a background on this talented artist.

Set for an official release on October 28th, 2022, fans old and new can start getting excited because Marc Ambrosia’s latest “When I’m Craving Love” is out and it’s fantastic. Taking a more atmospheric approach to the single, but wholeheartedly being open and honest within the subject matter, Ambrosia’s song is a lyric-forward track that relies heavily on his dynamic vocal range. If for some reason this is your intro to the artist, we’re urging everyone to familiarize yourselves as soon as you can.

Says Ambrosia on the background of the track, “I think it’s safe to say that a good chunk of these songs sound a bit like therapy session breakthroughs”. While it’s hard to disagree given the context of “When I’m Craving Love”, it’s safe to say that we’ve been there and it’s all a little too relatable in the best way possible. If the last two years have taught us anything, it’s that love truly is important not just on a physical level, but to have the ability to confide in someone other than family. We suggest you connect the rest of the dots on the song, but he really has hit it out of the park in terms of crafting up lines that we’ve most likely said ourselves.

As for the instrumentation, we purposefully think that they’re turned down in the mix for dramatic effect, or at least to emphasize that Ambrosia’s vocals are next level. Any production effects or novelty moments would have felt out of place, so really everything ended up where it needed to be. The genuine feeling in his delivery is what makes this song tick, but you also get the feeling of immersion from the opening notes. Given that the subject matter is quite serious, the tone and mood of the song ends up being just right.
