For those out of the loop on Maxton Hunter, let us kick things off here by making sure you quickly realize this is an artist you should be following along with. On his newest track “Honestly”, Maxton has collaborated with AriBella and james october to bring us something truly special. The song itself is obviously worth your time and energy to listen to, but our talk brought everything full circle.

Currently based out of Los Angeles, California, music has always been the focal point of Maxton’s life. Growing up with an immense love of the greats such as AC/DC, The Beatles, and so many more, his adornment for the craft has only grown since then. With influences listed as Tame Impala, Gardens & Villa, DIIV, and a slew of other current greats, his own brand of music is reminiscent, but entirely its own thing.

His musical output has been steady as well with 2 EP’s and 3 singles under his belt, but we have a feeling that more and more are going to see the light of day soon enough. Specifically on “Honestly” though, Maxton glimmers and glides through this three minute track effortlessly as the listeners attention is tossed back and forth between the top notch production and silky vocals. For us, it’s the type of song we could have on repeat all day and it just wouldn’t get old.

Now while we’re going to urge you yet again to give the track a listen, we do feel that getting inside the head of the artist and hearing all the juicy behind the scenes details makes for a better grasp of the music too.
