Music by Jeremy continues to impress with "Scenes from a Well Worn Path - Side Two"
We absolutely loved "Side One" when it arrived back in August and we're thrilled to say this second installment from Music by Jeremy is just as compelling. Released on September 25th, 2026, "Scenes from a Well Worn Path - Side Two" continues to prove that this seriously ambitious 24 track double album is shaping up to be one of the more genuinely remarkable rollouts we've had the pleasure of following this year.
This second chapter picks up right where the first left off, moving through pain, grief, joy, and fear with a kind of exhilaration that only comes from someone living a truly fulfilled life. That range of emotion is really the heart of what makes this project so special and Side Two handles it with the same passion, wit, and honesty that we’re not surprised other critics have consistently praised throughout this whole endeavor. He pointed out the album’s standout tracks like "Do Birds Sing the News" and "Idonella Sakaiensis", which we have to overwhelmingly agree with. However, we became instantly partial to “So Cold” as well! All of them are beautifully crafted songs with thought provoking lyrics that ask you to stop and really reflect on how you're living your own life.
Vocally, this is an outstanding record. Jeremy's voice carries weight throughout as it’s curious and lyrically intelligent, but unafraid to venture into territory a lot of songwriters tend to avoid. Generally songwriting could be powerful on its own, but delivered like this, it takes it to the next level.
Musically, the acoustics here are wonderful, giving these songs an intimacy even as the melodies swell into something huge and catchy. There's always an emotional pull running through every track, making you actually feel something!
Still though, what’s making this project so fascinating is the process behind it. Working entirely independently out of his home studio in Banbury, England, Jeremy plays all the guitars and bass himself, while leaning on generative AI tools trained on his own voice to round out the rest of the band he couldn't physically assemble. It never feels like a gimmick, but it remains a human choice, technology used purely as a tool.
With Sides Three and Four still to come on October 25th and November 25th, "Scenes from a Well Worn Path" continues to build into something that feels like a truly fully realized artistic statement.
