Myles from Home ignite with Folk-Rock fire on “I Remember”

With their latest single “I Remember,” Vancouver’s Myles from Home deliver the kind of track that feels built for both dusty roadside jukeboxes and massive festival stages. At four minutes long, it’s an exhilarating ride through folk rock grit, psychedelic textures, and the kind of grooves that get under your skin and stay there. Fronted by Myles Hildebrand, the trio has already established itself as a genre-bending force, flirting with everything from acoustic balladry to funk-driven jams, but this new single feels like a breakthrough moment. It’s a full-bodied statement of intent ahead of their long-awaited debut album Still, due out this month!

The song kicks off with a driving beat, its drums pushing forward with relentless energy, while a screaming guitar slices through the mix at the perfect moments like a flare. Hildebrand’s vocals arrive with equal intensity, serving up raw, impassioned, and just unpolished enough to carry real weight. It’s the kind of vocal delivery that makes you believe every word, as if the stakes couldn’t be higher. Adding another layer of firepower is the harmonica, which bursts in like a rogue spirit, giving the track a timeless, Americana edge while still feeling fresh and unpredictable. However, let’s not forget those perfectly timed horns in the latter half.

“I Remember” thrives in its contrasts. The verses simmer with reflective energy, pulling back just enough to let the lyrics breathe, before erupting into choruses that demand to be shouted back by thousands. It’s both anthemic and intimate, tugging at memory and emotion while simultaneously inviting you to lose yourself in the sheer momentum of the music. The band also leans into their psychedelic tendencies, weaving in trippy guitar tones and subtle effects that elevate the track beyond straightforward folk-rock into something far more expansive.

Offstage, Myles from Home clearly know how to balance intensity with playfulness. Their Mario Kart–inspired go-kart promo for the single shows a band unafraid to embrace fun while crafting serious music. That spirit, equal parts humor and heart, permeates “I Remember,” making it the perfect calling card for what’s ahead.

If this single is any indication, Still will be a record to watch. Myles from Home have captured lightning in a bottle here! We urge you to check out the single, video, and of course to follow along to stay tuned for so much more in the works. Enjoy!
