Post Night Pictures shares a new acoustic jam, titled "Get Down"

Freshly released on May 7th, 2021, Post Night Pictures has put out his incredibly catchy acoustic jam, “Get Down”. We have instantly fallen in love with it! Read on for our full review of the track, as well as a look at the new project from this talented artist.

Representing the Liverpool musician, Post Night Pictures is the work of multi-instrumentalist and visual artist, Daniel Coughlin. Released via Liverpool’s indie label, Nifty Records, On his debut single “Get Down”, he’s brought along a feature on the track in the way of Mason Owens. Together though they’ve created something absolutely magical that we are highly recommending to all those willing to listen.

During a jam session in Coughlin’s home studio with Mason Owens, “Get Down” was born and ultimately turned into the polished track you’ll hear today. Says Daniel on its release, “I’d say this track is mainly about a lack of commitment. It perfectly captures the moment of not wanting things to go any further or get serious with someone. “A lot of people I think have been in situations like this where they want to take that next step with someone but they're afraid of the outcome. This track is about taking a step back, playing it safe and not risking it.”

For a debut single, we’re honestly quite shocked at how wonderful it came out. Not to knock the artist in any way negative, but it feels like it usually takes a couple releases for an artist to find their sound. In this situation though, we wouldn’t want anything else from a track like this as it has checked all our boxes for the music we typically listen to in our free times. The synergy created here is nothing short of impeccable, so congrats to Daniel on this impressive feat.

Our immediate thoughts after listening here were when we could expect a follow up. Obviously we’d never want to rush an artist into pushing out more work as we realize how time intensive it could be, but a sound like this is just begging to be replicated and added onto. We’d love to hear a collection of tracks in the form of an EP or full length LP that show off the sincere musicianship displayed here. It would be an honor to listen!

All in all though, there really isn’t a negative thing we could say here as we loved it all from start to finish. The priority here is definitely going to be for you to click all those important links below to listen in and follow along with Post Night Pictures’ path to greatness. We have a feeling this isn’t the last big release we’ll see, so make sure to keep an eye out for more. Enjoy!
