Sunstroke Rain expands her sound with hypnotic single, "Another World"
When two collaborators discover a shared creative wavelength, the kind where ideas bounce back and forth until something unexpected forms, that’s when you know you’ve struck creative gold. “Another World,” the new single from Sunstroke Rain created alongside UK producer Mera Bhai, captures exactly that kind of chemistry. The result is an absolutely immersive piece of electro-pop that glows with color and seemingly endless melodies.
Sunstroke Rain is the brainchild of Swedish artist Karin Turesson, whose project name cleverly doubles as an anagram of her own. After years spent contributing to other musical collaborations, Turesson now steps into the spotlight with a sound that blends melodic dance music with expansive electronic pop textures. With “Another World,” she continues building on the momentum sparked by her 2024 release “Life Is Sacred,” deepening a partnership with Mera Bhai that already feels creatively rich.
Interestingly, the song began in the most minimal way possible. At first it existed only as bass and chords, completely skeletal. It wasn’t until the chorus arrived that the track found its center. That turning point transformed the piece from something restrained into something vibrant and fully realized. Listening now, it’s almost impossible to imagine the song existing in any other form. It’s got just the right amount of pep in its step to really get you going!
The palette here is lush but never overwhelming in the best way. You’re about to experience a tapestry of shimmering synthesizers that forms the backbone of the arrangement, pulsing gently with energy.
