Head Trip & Apple Music Partner Up for Full Weekend Live Stream
Can't make it to Indio this weekend? Head Trip is bringing the party to you. Goldenvoice's one-time-only dance festival takes over the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on October 10 and 11, and thanks to a major livestream partnership with Apple Music, fans around the world can tune in for free, no matter where they are.
The two-day lineup is a dream for electronic music fans, with Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, FISHER b2b Chris Lake, Peggy Gou b2b Four Tet, and Dom Dolla b2b Kettama among the names set to play. In-person passes have been in extremely high demand, which makes the livestream the best way for many fans to catch these sets as they happen. As Goldenvoice's Danny Bell put it, the goal is "bringing this one-time-only event to a global audience."
Watching is easy, and there are plenty of ways to do it. Fans can stream Head Trip live on Apple Music, with no subscription needed, as well as on Apple TV. The livestream will also air on Apple Music's TikTok account, on Twitch via the bisradio channel, and on the Apple Music YouTube channel. If you'd rather keep your eyes off the screen, there's an audio-only simulcast on Apple Music 1 and Apple Music Club, on TuneIn (airing the Apple Music Club livestream), and on Sirius XM. Whether you're at home, at work, or in the car, there's a way to be part of it.
Missed a set, or maybe you're watching from a time zone that doesn't line up with a desert dance floor? Each night's video livestream will be replayed once at 2:00AM PT across Apple Music, Apple TV, and TikTok. The audio livestream will also be replayed once across Apple Music Radio and TuneIn, giving fans another chance to catch the performances.
The partnership also fits a bigger moment for dance music in the streaming world. Apple Music has already worked with festivals like EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland, and Head Trip continues that push to bring fans closer to the artists, scenes, and dancefloors that move them. Stephen Campbell, Apple Music's Global Head of Dance, Electronic Music & DJ Mixes, said the lineup brings together "an extraordinary line-up of artists who are shaping dance and electronic music culture right now."
So clear your weekend, pick your platform, and get ready! Between the back-to-back sets, the massive headliners, and a livestream that spans video and audio across so many platforms, Head Trip promises to be one of the most accessible big-room dance weekends of the year. We'll be watching, and we hope you'll join us.
