Kilby Block Party 2027 Unveils a Stacked Lineup Led by Deftones, The Strokes, & Jungle
Salt Lake City's favorite indie institution is back, and it's bringing some serious firepower. Kilby Block Party has announced the lineup for its eighth annual edition, taking place Friday, May 14 through Sunday, May 16, 2027, at the Utah State Fairpark, with 70 artists on the bill and more still to be announced.
At the top of the poster, Deftones, The Strokes, Jungle, Fontaines D.C., and Slayyyter headline a lineup that spans genres without ever losing its sense of identity. Alongside them, the bill includes Lil Yachty, Two Door Cinema Club, Spoon, Weyes Blood, Phantogram, Wednesday, Kim Gordon, and Julien Baker, a mix of indie heavyweights, genre-defying favorites, and rising names that makes planning a schedule the best kind of problem. Between heavy riffs, post-punk fury, dance-floor grooves, and tender songwriting, there is truly something for every kind of music fan.
Part of what makes Kilby such a special festival is the care that goes into it. Last year's edition earned a glowing endorsement from Lorde herself, who called it "the absolute coolest festival ever," and Stereogum described it as "clearly booked by human beings," adding that "you can go to Kilby and get excited about music." That thoughtful curation extends far beyond the lineup, from the intimate after-show events held each night at venues around the city to the silent disco, Vendor Village with local creatives and record shops, and the festival's annual skateboarding competition, The Crusher Cup. Between sets, attendees can explore Salt Lake City's thriving arts and food scenes, catch up with friends over coffee, or make new ones in the mosh pit.
The festival's impact stretches well beyond the fairgrounds, too. Last year's event drew nearly 16,000 visitors from out of state, who spent an estimated $24.7 million in Utah and helped the festival contribute $33.5 million to the state's GDP. It's a testament to what a hand-curated, community-minded festival can do for the city that hosts it.
