Zootown Music Festival 2027 Returns to Missoula with Brandi Carlile & Jack Johnson

Big Sky country is calling. Zootown Music Festival has announced the lineup for its third annual edition, set for Friday, June 18 and Saturday, June 19, 2027, at the Missoula Fairgrounds in Missoula, Montana. Fresh off being named the 2026 Montana Tourism Destination of the Year, the festival is returning with a bill of more than 20 artists that mixes folk, soul, rock, and Americana in the best possible way.

Brandi Carlile tops the Friday lineup, joined by Alabama Shakes, Whiskey Myers, and Courtney Barnett, a day that moves effortlessly from sweeping Americana to Southern rock to wry, guitar-driven indie. Saturday belongs to Jack Johnson, who closes the festival and is making his Montana debut, along with Caamp, Sierra Ferrell, Kitchen Dwellers, and more. Together, the two days feel like a love letter to songwriting and big, communal singalongs, set against one of the most scenic backdrops in the country.

Zootown has always been about more than the music, and this year is no different. The festival promotes a full weekend of adventure, with recommended outdoor offerings for enthusiasts of all levels. Biking, fishing, whitewater rafting, river tubing, trail rides, guided hikes, scenic walking tours, and more are all led by experienced local outfitters, and morning activities are available on show days. It's a thoughtful way to experience Montana summer at its best, and a reminder of why the surrounding natural beauty, with over 60,000 acres of wilderness just minutes from downtown, is worth preserving and protecting.

There's another reason to make the trip. Zootown is honored to help kick off Missoula's Pride weekend celebrations, which run from Friday, June 18 through Sunday, June 20 and include the city's annual Pride Parade on Saturday, June 19. Between the festival, the parade, and Missoula's renowned craft brewery and culinary scenes, it's a weekend full of reasons to celebrate.

The demand speaks for itself. In the days after the 2026 edition wrapped, the festival released a limited number of "First Cast" tickets to the 2027 festival, and they quickly sold out before a single artist had even been announced. That kind of trust is hard to earn, and it says a lot about what Zootown has delivered in just two years.

Pre-sale for single and two-day tickets begins Friday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m. MT at ZootownFestival.com for those who attended in 2025 or 2026 or are signed up for SMS updates, with a limited number of Locals-Only tickets also available in person at Rockin Rudy's in downtown Missoula. General on-sale follows at 12:00 p.m. MT the same day, and layaway plans are available starting at 10% down.

With a headliner lineup this strong and a setting this beautiful, Zootown 2027 is shaping up to be one of next summer's must-attend festivals. Get your tickets early, and start planning your Montana adventure.
