Clint Lightfoot breaks down his debut single, "Crickets" - Interview

Fresh off the release of his debut single titled “Crickets”, we got the opportunity to sit and speak with Clint Lightfoot all about the intricacies of the track and so much more. Please check out our full interview below.

Written and recorded in his own personally built home studio, Clint Lightfoot has given “Crickets” his all and come out hot with an incredibly catchy debut single. Through our conversation with the artist, we covered a variety of topics ranging from his vast list of musical influences, what else is on the way, and plenty of specifics of how this song was recorded. For someone who’s starting on this journey slightly later in life, Clint left the impression that he’s feeling inspired and ready to put out more as soon as possible.

Having quit his IT job of 21 years to go full time with music, the ultimate goal is to make waves within his respective genre and confidently rise the ranks. Well, with “Crickets” being his big hello to the world, he’s already proving he’s got what it takes to get there. Playing his own instruments and figuring out the production side isn’t as easy as it seems, but with an arsenal of songs ready to go for the near future, we’re already patiently waiting to see what follows this up. Taking inspiration from who he grew up listening to, but also his 11 year old son, the drive and passion are more than enough to keep him going.

On the background of “Crickets”, it’s based on true love, but also the situation when you screw up and they ask you to stay away, you should respect that and listen. It’s an experience that can feel common, but also one that you learn from and move on. We spoke about it in great length during our conversation, so please don’t miss out on getting the full rundown and explanation. With all that being said though, Clint Lightfoot is the real deal, and “Crickets” has been on repeat ever since it’s release.
