Company Jones come roaring back with all new album, "The Glow"

Gracing the world with their first new album in 15 years is Company Jones! The record is called The Glow and we’ve quickly fallen in love with everything about it. Read on for our full analysis, as well as a background on the band.

While things have certainly changed over the years, especially during 2020, we’re beyond thrilled that this trio of rockers could reunite for an all new record. Touching on so many genres, but ultimately falling under the umbrella of that classic rock and roll sound, we can confidently let you know right off the bat that this album is a true winner. Sincerely, you’re not going to want to miss out on this piece of art.

Now before we get into it, we must let you know that this record was actually recorded remotely between all the members. To this day, they still haven’t been in the same room together to record, which really just goes to show you that not even distance can keep musicians from rocking out. For Company Jones though, this is their redemption album which is ultimately the theme behind the entirety of The Glow and reverberates from start to finish.

Coming in 11 total tracks, spanning just south of the hour mark, The Glow starts out with a whole lot of soul on the opener and self-titled track “The Glow”. As the album begins to unravel, you can palpably feel the band let loose instrumentally and really come into their own. While so many bands feel like they front load their records to keep old and new listeners' interest piqued, we found it to actually be the opposite here. There’s so much consistency throughout that each track honestly feels like it could be picked out to be a single. No lulls, no boring moments, just a whole lot of artistry and built up musicianship that has been waiting to get out.

Now there were seemingly infinite highlights that arose from listening to The Glow, but we definitely have to shine a light on the commanding vocals that set the tone from the start. The band certainly held their own in the background and made sure to let loose on specific tracks, but the constant through the album was the vocal delivery that was bursting with passion and love.

Without giving too much away, because we wouldn’t want to spoil, let us relay once again that Company Jones are for real. This record rocks and deserves to be cranked at maximum volume for your first time listen. You can check it out, in addition to following them on their social media, by clicking the links below.
