JJ’s Music Retaliation creates a kaleidoscopic groove on "Shine Shine Shine"
With “Shine Shine Shine,” JJ’s Music Retaliation once again proves that experimental doesn’t have to mean inaccessible rather in this case it means electrifying, groovy, and irresistibly fun. This latest single is a vibrant, kaleidoscopic swirl of sound, built on JJ’s signature willingness to play outside the lines and twist familiar rock textures into something hypnotic, colorful, and just left of center. It’s the kind of track that refuses to sit still, instead shifting, spiraling, and reshaping itself in real time, almost as if the song is breathing.
From the jump, “Shine Shine Shine” feels like a time capsule cracked open and wired into the future. The guitars alone are a thrill as they’re undeniably crunchy, warm, and full of character with a tone that instantly nods to psychedelic and classic rock without ever sounding derivative.
