Kitty Coen releases dramatic single & video for "bad bad liar"

Creating yet another pop-centric single with grunge undertones attached, we’ve quickly come to love Kitty Coen’s latest output, “bad bad liar”. Read on for our full review of the track, as well as a much needed background on this emerging artist.

Currently based out of Nashville, Kitty Coen is a singer and songwriter who is relatively new to the music scene. While she might be new in a sense, that hasn’t stopped her from releasing consistently awe-inspiring music right from the get go. On her newest single and music video for “bad bad liar”, she’s injected a massive dose of raw energy and aesthetic into a song that’s simply fantastic. Everyone out there who’s giving this a read should 100% dive into it.

Featuring a top tier production and an unorthodox song structure, she’s not cranking out the same algorithmic type of music one after the other. In fact, it feels like a contest against herself to always be innovating and retooling what’s worked in the past with a future vision. Paired together with a music video that brings a much needed life to this song, it’s honestly just the perfect package of sound and style wrapped up into one.

Coursing throughout “bad bad liar”, you’ll encounter a hefty instrumentation that provides a grit to the song, all the while Kitty’s vocals are center stage to really bring a consistency that the song deserves. Her conviction with each line doesn’t let up for a second and she still manages to get her point across in the process. Each single in her growing discography does the difficult job of unraveling parts of her as a person and it’s really been nice to sort of get to know who she is single after single.

All that being said though, it should come as no surprise that we’d love for everyone to listen and watch the video for “bad bad liar”. Please check out the links below to do so, plus you can follow along to stay tuned for everything else on the way this year.
