Ollie Twohill delivers passionate performance on single, "Hollow"
Not long after our last review of Ollie Twohill’s single “Neverland”, the artist has made a quick return with another stunning single titled “Hollow”. Keep reading for a closer look into the track, as well as an update on this talented artist.
Australia’s own Ollie Twohill has emerged once again with another unbelievably catchy single, “Hollow”. In the same vein of his last pop punk-inspired song, he’s revolutionized his sound once again keeping things feeling bright, vibrant, and jam packed with his signature touch. Officially on a roll in our eyes and ears, this feels like the perfect entry point for those who have yet to discover his music. Even if you have, we’d highly recommend you hit the play button on this as soon as you can.
Embodying the rest of his music and displaying his personal experiences, “Hollow” is unfortunately inspired by a breakup of his recent relationship. In a terrible way, his partner ultimately blindsided him by leaving, now having Ollie feeling stunned at the moment. Honestly if you’ve been there, you know how terrible the feeling can be, but there’s almost no better way to get over it than by crafting a rock track like this to combat those emotions. With that being said, Ollie has put on another masterclass in terms of songwriting and detailing the situation, painting a picture for the unassuming listener and audiences. You might get distracted by the upbeat and energetic nature of the song, but look within, and you’ll find a compelling story.
We’ve mentioned it before, but it needs to be said again, we’re all about the pop punk sound and generation. So many artists out there attempt but somehow fall flat, however Ollie Twohill’s version and modern cadence scratches that itch so nicely. The tone he’s able to achieve in his instrumentation and as well as the mood and attitude attached to his vocals, it all comes together to create the full package. We can’t wait for you to give this a listen, but you should also know that there’s two other singles on the way coming in early 2023!
