From the second this song starts, it legitimately feels like the epitome of a warm summer day. It’s impossible to sit still to and "Cycle" nails that feeling from the very first note. Perth based composer and producer Paul Frazer Clarke, a true veteran with over 35 years in the industry, teams up here with Will Champlin for a track that's pure, polished synth-pop magic. Trust us, you will be dancin’ along.

Clarke's résumé speaks for itself. Formerly signed to Epic Records, MCA Music, and Warner Chappell, he's the kind of behind the scenes force who’s done a ton. That experience shows up all over "Cycle," which sounds like the work of someone who knows exactly how to build a track with real staying power. The production here is genuinely a marvel, layered with analog synths that give the whole song a textured glow, sitting comfortably alongside influences like Roosevelt (personal favs of ours) and Empire of the Sun without ever feeling derivative. The originality is busting at the seams here yet there’s still an uplifting familiarity too.

The bassline is a real standout too! It’s driving and groovy in all the right ways, giving the track a physical pull that makes it nearly impossible not to move to. We felt the bass work anchored everything else happening around it, letting those lush harmonies and shimmering synths float on top without ever losing rhythm. Every element is intentional, nothing ever overcrowds the mix, and the track is impeccably clean.

Then there's Will Champlin, whose vocal performance elevates this song even further. With a pedigree that includes a Top 3 finish on The Voice US and a Grammy winning co-write for Heather Headley, it's no surprise he brings real polish and warmth to the track. His voice glides over the production beautifully, adding an emotional richness that keeps the song feeling human even. That slight raspiness in his voice really makes him sound unique too. He knows when to hit the gas when the song picks up and honestly, the two are a match made in collaboration heaven.

Serving as the second single from the "Five Coordinates" EP, "Cycle" makes a strong case for what's still to come. It's catchy in the best way, it gets stuck in your head in the best way, and it's got just the right amount of nostalgia mixed with fresh, modern production. This is a genuinely fun and summery synth-pop track, plus it's a great showcase of what happens when two talented artists bring out the best in each other.
