Scott the Pisces & BINX collaborate on hot weather single, "Summer 22"

As the hot weather months loom around the corner, prepare yourselves for the song of the season, a wonderful collaboration between Scott the Pisces and BINX titled “Summer 22”!. Check out our full review and a background on these artists below.

After reviewing Scott the Pisces’ debut EP Ocean Blue last year, we’ve been patiently awaiting a follow up, but we can confidently say it was worth the wait. Teaming up with another talented artist and vocalist named BINX, the two co-wrote “Summer 22” to “harness the euphoria” of what they hope this upcoming season holds in terms of excitement and joy. In the tone of the song, they’ve 100% nailed it and we sincerely can’t wait for everyone to click the play button here as soon as you can.

It’s no shock that having a typical summer of freedom and exploration has been taken away from a majority of the world over the last couple years, but with things seemingly on the up and up, “Summer 22” is serving as a celebration of a better time. Within the first 30 seconds of the song, we were hit with a serious wave of nostalgia in due to the initial feel of it all. We mean this in the best way possible, but the track embodies this early 2000’s teen movie soundtrack aura to it that’s one of our favorite feelings, seriously. It’s something we would’ve played incessantly 10-15 years ago, but are beyond thrilled it entered our life in 2022.

Featuring a crisp production, vocals that reach infinite highs, and a real lighthearted vibrance about it, there’s legitimately nothing we could change or critique at all. It’s honestly not too often that a song becomes immediately catchy and worthy of another listen, but that instantaneous feeling of letting loose and hitting the beach is hard to pass up. Whether you’re at an outdoor BBQ with friends, cruising down the highway, or cleaning the house, the versatility of “Summer 22” is there and we’ll undoubtedly be spinning it on repeat for the foreseeable future.
