Sehore perfect the album experience on sprawling record, "Husfikbur"

On their sophomore album (second release in 2025) Husfikbur, the Spain-based project of Sehore proves they’re not just a new name to watch, they’re already carving out a distinct lane. Following their 2025 debut Ladencia, the band returns with a more expansive and emotionally resonant record that showcases their growing confidence in sound and storytelling. With 14 tracks clocking in at a tight 45 minutes, the album manages to be quite immersive from start to finish. It’s filled with bright acoustic, classic rock tones, and a sense of global influence that feels super fresh.

Recorded at Paco Loco Studio, released via ℗2025 MusicHunters Records, and mastered at Kadifornia by Mario G. Alberni, Husfikbur benefits from pristine production that highlights the interplay of its instrumentation. The acoustic guitars are warm, grounding the songs with an intimate feeling that makes even the bigger arrangements feel personal. However, there’s still a ton of electric instrumentation flourishes that add pizzazz, leaning into a slightly classic rock feel without ever becoming retro or nostalgic. Instead, Sehore strikes a balance between timelessness and modernity.

The band’s storytelling is just as compelling as its sonic palette. Sung in Spanish, the lyrics flow like fragments of memory, reflections caught in a windowpane. The title itself, meant to “evoke the glass of a shop window”, sets the tone. It’s a space where the past and present blur, where listeners can glimpse lives lived, loves lost, and emotions too big to contain. Even for those who don’t speak the language, the emotion is unmistakable in the cadence of the delivery. Sehore crafts songs that transcend borders, with melodies and moods carrying as much weight as the words themselves.

There’s also a deep sense of balance across the record. Some songs drift with a chill, almost meditative quality, while others spark with bursts of energy that keep the album from ever sinking too deeply into melancholy. The sequencing is sharp, ebbing and flowing like a tide, always pulling the listener along and never letting go. This fluidity makes Husfikbur more than just a collection of tracks, it’s really that coveted “album experience” that so many bands strive to achieve.

Recognition is already beginning to follow, which isn’t surprising in the slightest. The project recently earned a Silver Medal at the 2025 Global Music Awards for “Pesadilla,” a testament to Sehore’s ability to blend accessible beauty with artistic depth. But it’s Husfikbur that cements their potential.

For a band still in its infancy, Sehore sounds remarkably assured. Husfikbur isn’t just a step forward, it’s proof that they’re capable of creating music that lingers long after the last note fades, whether you understand the words or simply feel them resonate.
