Worby & Friends introduce a meaningful new project with the heartfelt, "Hope"
There's something so genuinely moving about a song built with real purpose behind it and coincidentally, "Hope" delivers exactly that. As the first single from David Worby's collaborative project, Worby & Friends, this country track sets a wonderful tone for everything still to come, both musically and in terms of the cause it's tied to.
Performed by The Bennett Hall Band and written by Worby alongside Alyssa Trahan and Mark Narmore, "Hope" leans into country music with real heart and soul at its center. This isn't a track chasing radio polish for its own sake, it's a song built around genuine emotion, and that sincerity comes through in every line. The vocals here are exceptional, led by a powerful voice that carries the song's message with warmth. We thought it gave the lyrics a perfect amount of room to land with the weight they deserve!
Musically, the track stays mostly acoustic, giving it an intimate feel, while a light but steady drum backbone keeps everything moving without ever overpowering the more delicate elements. It's so clearly a lyrics-first song and we thought that choice suited the material perfectly. The writing is heartwarming throughout, touching on themes of resilience, connection, and finding encouragement even during life's harder moments, and it never once feels heavy handed in how it delivers that message.
