If you happen to be out of the loop on Andrew Scott Denlinger, well, this is the perfect time to explore his growing discography and get a taste for what a wonderful human being he is as well. Having just released his newest single “Traveling Band”, it was only right right we brought him back on for a riveting conversation and an update on what he’s been up to since the last time we spoke at length.
While we’ll go ahead and recommend you give the song a listen right off the bat, let us give you a bit of insight on what it’s all about as well. Says Andrew on “Traveling Band”, “The song has tour life in mind, but it is much more than just another ‘band song’. It’s about hard working men, women, (and band dudes) fighting to do the best for their families and their future.”
The song itself pulls from decades worth of genres, but ultimately encapsulates the vibe of a hard working touring band that’s hitting the clubs every night. Filled with a beyond impressive backing band that individually bring life to their respective solos, this is what Andrew describes as “American Rock” and we could not possibly agree more with that statement. It’s pure, original, and virtually guaranteed to bring a smile to your face after each listen.
We definitely don’t want to give away too much else about the song, but what we will say is that there’s a pretty fantastic story that goes along with how the single artwork came to be. Considering that the artwork is typically the first impression of any music you listen to, we did feel that it just about sums up what you can expect on the track.
