Some remixes just add a beat and call it a day yet some completely change how you feel about a song. Janalynn Castelino’s “But Without You (Temptation Remix),” just released on October 23rd, 2026, is the second kind without a doubt. It’s an absolute blast and it takes an already emotional track and sends it straight to the dance floor.

The original “But Without You” arrived in 2025, and it’s well worth a listen before you dive into this version. However, it sets up the heart of the song, which dives into the “messy waters of romantic complexity, vulnerability, and codependency”. Knowing where it started makes the remix even more satisfying. The Temptation Remix breathes a new life into that foundation, infusing a whole lot of energy while keeping the emotions fully intact. The song still aches, but now it moves, and it ends up feeling like an anthem you can lose yourself in. Whether that be on the dancefloor or your bedroom, that’s completely up to you…

This version sits firmly on the electropop spectrum and the production is amazing to say the least. The rhythms are infectious and the whole thing has a hypnotic pull that makes it feel like a club track made for late nights and loud speakers. It’s fully danceable, you better believe that, and it’s the kind of song that has you moving before you realize it.

Castelino’s vocals are the real centerpiece. Good luck trying to match her tone though! It’s emotional and powerful and she shows off her range from beginning to end. As a Los Angeles based, multilingual pop singer, songwriter, and producer, she has plenty to work with, and she uses it brilliantly here. There’s such an effortlessly cool edge to her delivery here that heightens everything the song has to offer. She can sound vulnerable one moment and soar the next with ease.

Once again, you’ve got to check out the original, but we’re definitely partial to the remix. It lets you dance through the hard feelings instead of sitting in them. “But Without You (Temptation Remix)” is a must listen straight up. Janalynn Castelino’s vocal power and artistic vision lead the way for something that’ll have you feeling great by the end.
