Lucid Safari delivers laidback single "Lady" off upcoming EP

On his first single of 2021, the project of Lucid Safari has delivered a year end masterpiece called “Lady” that we’re totally in love with. Please read on for our full review of the track, as well as a background on the artist.

Currently based out of Brisbane, Lucid Safari is a reggae coastal rock project coming from musician Daniel J. Lewis. With help from a rotating cast of musicians that add so much depth and complexity to his sound, “Lady” is another prime example of the laid back feel that everyone has helped to provide here.

Truly, there aren’t any negatives or critiques we can point out here surrounding “Lady”, mainly because it’s exactly the chill vibes that we were hoping it would be after hearing about Lucid Safari’s sound. Ultimately groovy on the instrumentation side, Daniel’s vocals help to create this atmospheric feeling that everything’s going to be just fine. The optimism within his delivery was the main driver of that, even if the overarching message of the song is unrelated.

For those that are digging this sound, we’ve got some great news, because it looks like Lucid Safari is all set to share an EP slated for an early 2022 release. Our instant thoughts as soon as we finished up our first listen of the song was just how nice it would be to get a record full of relaxing sounds just like this, so thankfully we don’t have to wait too long for that fateful day to come. We’re certainly excited to see what exactly else Daniel can bring to the table, but there’s a pretty good chance he’s saving the best for the rest of the record.

Beginning to wrap things up though, plain and simple we think you should 100% take the time out of your busy lives to give this song a listen. With so many more big things on the way, Lucid Safari is a project to be watched without a doubt.
