Now three songs deep into the album rollout for Edge that is slated for its release on October 28th, Marc Ambrosia is continuing to shape shift his sound and keep us guessing as to what’s coming next. His newest is titled “Million Little Reasons” and has leaned heavily into imagery-filled lyricism that not only paints a picture, but does so with his signature style that keeps us coming back. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll give this one a spin ASAP.

Our last review of Marc’s work was for “When I’m Craving Love” which was undoubtedly a slow burner, but on the opposite end, “Million Little Reasons” resonated with us immediately. On the background of the track, Marc has stated “Million Little Reasons is me admitting to walls I put up in relationships. Things go unsaid, because the fear is always in the back of my mind that I’ll reveal too much about what I perceive as my own shortcomings and those will send someone away”. We said it last time, but the sentiment stays the same, this artist’s music evokes a real relatiblity out of us and what we’ve experienced. Listening to his words brings us to particular life moments, but there’s no way we could add the style that he has consistently.

As the puzzle of Edge continues to come together and we see exactly the type of record that’s happening in full, a major standout is the variation in tempos and the art of genre-bending. It feels as though Marc uses his voice to really implant the emotion of it all, but the attention to detail within the instrumentation is certainly the backbone of his sound. His voice fits in where there’s lulls in atmosphere yet there’s always a consistent ramp up in passion. “Million Little Reasons” fits that bill perfectly and is really the direction we’d hope this next teaser would take.
